How a workers' comp engagement works.
Consultation & Scope
We discuss the claim, what is in question, and what lawful fact development would be useful. We are clear about what surveillance can and can't show.
Claim Review
We review the claim file and records to understand what is asserted and where documentation could clarify matters.
Field Work
Where lawful and relevant, we conduct activity documentation — discreetly, lawfully, and contemporaneously documented.
Interviews
We interview coworkers, witnesses, and collateral sources as appropriate, professionally and documented.
Analysis
We analyze what we found — what it shows, what it doesn't, and how it relates to the claim.
Reporting & Delivery
You receive organized, defensible work product structured for board, hearing, or litigation use.
Frequently asked.
Do you work for employers or claimants?
Both — and insurers and attorneys. We develop facts regardless of who retained us. Our methods do not change with the client.
Can you surveil an injured worker?
Only when lawful and relevant. Surveillance of an injured worker is sensitive and heavily regulated. We assess legality and necessity before any field work, and we will not conduct it when it is not lawful or appropriate.
Can you prove a claim is fraudulent?
No. We do not 'prove' fraud. We document observable facts. Whether those facts indicate fraud is a determination for the board, the court, or the insurer — not us.
Can you interview coworkers?
Yes, when appropriate and lawful. Interviews are conducted professionally and documented. We do not pressure witnesses or coach accounts.
Does surveillance assume the worker is lying?
No. Activity documentation records what a person can do — which can support a claim, contradict it, or be neutral. We document, we do not assume.
