Social Media Sweeps

What's public. What it means. What it doesn't.

All investigative services are currently provided under Frazier Forensics license. Six Echoes LLC is not the agency of record but is available for subcontract work. Frazier Forensics agency license: 29409.

Important: We review only genuinely public content. No pretexting, no account compromise, no circumventing privacy settings. We are honest about what public-source review can and cannot produce.

Overview

Public is not the same as nothing.

People put a remarkable amount of their lives in public view. Patterns, associations, contradictions, and admissions often sit where anyone could see them — if someone knew to look, and knew how to document it properly.

A social media sweep is lawful open-source review of public content, captured with timestamps and provenance so it can actually be used rather than dismissed.

Legitimate Uses

When clients bring us in.

A focused public-source review serves a narrow set of lawful purposes. We'll tell you if it isn't the right tool.

  • Custody & family law
  • Insurance & claim verification
  • Due diligence
  • Background & association mapping
  • Credibility assessment
  • Locating individuals

FAQ

Frequently asked.

Q01

Is looking at someone's social media legal?

Yes, when reviewing genuinely public content. We do not access private accounts, use deception or pretexting, or circumvent privacy settings. What's lawful depends on the platform, the content, and the purpose.

Q02

Can you get into private or deleted accounts?

No. We only review publicly accessible content. We do not use pretexting, hacking, or any unlawful method to access private or deleted material.

Q03

Will the person know I looked?

Reviewing public content does not notify the user. We do not contact, follow, or interact with the subject during the review.

Q04

How long does a sweep take?

It depends on the number of platforms and accounts involved. A focused review is often a few days; broader sweeps take longer.

Q05

Can social media evidence be used in court?

Properly preserved public content can be admissible. We document provenance and timestamps to support that. Ultimate admissibility is a court's decision.
